Measurement and Evaluation of Axis Straightness of Rotary Forgings using Photogrammetry and Image Analysis
Zatočilová, Aneta ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (referee) ; Matula, Pavel (referee) ; Morovič,, Ladislav (referee) ; Brandejs, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with methodology proposal for shape and dimension measurement of rotationally symmetric forgings. Most of available non-contact systems are not possible to use for this purpose, mainly due to high temperatures and large dimensions of forgings. Only a few commercial systems which are designed for this specific measurement are currently in the market. These systems are based on a principle of evaluating time response of posted modulated signal. However, scientific literature shows also other approaches to the measurement, which are based on principle of triangulation and methods of image analysis. Advantage of systems based on these principles should be especially measurement speed and significantly lower price. The paper describes current state of research and development in this area and proposes a new approach which is based on passive photogrammetry and image analysis. The core of the work is devoted to the design of partial methods and their implementation in the Matlab programming language. Functionality of the methodology and the software has been verified by measuring cylindrical tubes of small dimensions in laboratory conditions. The designed methods were discussed and evaluated based on statistical analysis of the measurement results, and further steps to increase the accuracy and reduce the spread of results were suggested. Optimization and further development of this methodology could lead to the design a professional measuring system intended for this specific application.

The subjekt of this bachelor´s thesis is to compare the methods of generation of tie points in aerotriangulation using the program Photomod 4.3 made by Russian company Racurs. Part of this thesis is a detailed of description of the project initialization, subsequent implementation of aerotriangulation and bundle block adjustment in Photomod on those images. The result is a comparison of elements of exterior orientation. and coordinate determined points processed in tables and graphs.
Deformation measurement of motorcycle components
Augste, Jan ; Novotný, Tomáš (referee) ; Tůma, Zdeněk (advisor)
The task of this diploma thesis is technical solution for deformation measuring of motorcycle components. By reason of the technical discretion, technology of measurement was changed to another, using image processing. Retrieval which describes fundamental principle of method named photogrammetry and the main conditions of measuring. For a practical testing the carbon composite tube of main motorbike fork was used. It was loaded a with a bending moment. Due to measuring technology was changed, so the design of loading bench was change too. In the end of diploma thesis is appreciation of practical experience discovered in writing of this thesis.
The theoretical and actual measurement accuracy of TRITOP photogrammetry system
Klus, Patrik ; Mendřický, Radomír (referee) ; Zatočilová, Aneta (advisor)
This diploma thesis examines the impact of selected factors on the measurement accuracy of Tritop photogrammetry system and verifies the validity of theoretical predictive formulas. Primary attention is given to factors that are easily influenced by the inspector - namely number of captured images, shooting distance, number of scale bars and number of coded targets. In addition, experiments dealing with the measurement automation and the use of external color filter are also described in this thesis. Seven scale bars placed on a jig of cube shape were subject of the measurements (according to VDI/VDE 2634 standard). Two approaches were used in order to obtain measurement deviations – reference values, from which the measured data were subtracted to obtain deviations, were known due to the use of scale bars. Second approach consisted in evaluation of deviations from software Tritop Professional. The results showed that the number of photographs and shooting distance have the greatest impact on measurement accuracy of Tritop system. The accuracy was also influenced by number of coded targets in the scene or by use of the external green filter. Measured data were compared to the values obtained from predictive formulas. The results showed that the formula defined by the GOM company has a prediction accuracy of more than 96 %. However the formula is dependent on the input parameter called “Image accuracy” for which the value recommendations are made in this work. The results of this work can help predict measurement uncertainties more precisely and optimize the measurement methodology of Tritop photogrammetry system.
Use of PhotoModeler program in forensic engineering practice
Zdražilová, Alena ; Klika, Pavel (referee) ; Daňhel, Petr (advisor)
The main task of this thesis is to find out dimensions of family house from photos and after that use this dimensions to create a 3D model. Another task is to create and then test optimal procedure of taking photographs of house for the purpose of work in PhotoModeler software and subsequent processing in Autocad. The result is a model that serves for creation of sections and taking measurements necessary for valuations of a family house. The optimum process should be a compromise of the simplest and the most accurate method of creating 3D models.
Vehicles' 3D model making
Pták, Adam ; Mikulec, Roman (referee) ; Křižák, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of creating spatial models of vehicles. The first part of this theses consists of a theoretical introduction, which explains the basic terms and methods that can be used in the creation of vehicle models. This is followed by a section that deals the current state of knowledge in this field of interest. This chapter is followed by a practical part, which deals with the creation of vehicle models using selected methods. In the last section, the findings from the practical part are summarised and evaluated. The aim of the thesis is to create models of several vehicles. On the basis of these models, the following methods are evaluated in terms of time and financial requirements. At the same time, the accuracy of the methods used in the creation of the models and their possible further use is also evaluated.
Photogrammetric localization of motorcycle rider
Lečbych, Jiří ; Zháňal, Lubor (referee) ; Fojtášek, Jan (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with designing a measuring device that would record driver’s movements during dynamic riding states known as localization, and based on the recorded data creating a simulation in multi-body software. The first part reviews the current state of knowledge in the field of photogrammetry, sensors, and motorcycles’ characteristics. Moreover, the second part focuses on constructing the measuring device, practical aspects of data collection, processing, and evaluation in multi-body software.
Terrain Photographing from an Aircraft
Skočdopole, Jan ; Maršík, Lukáš (referee) ; Široký, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with terrain photography from an aircraft. Subject of solution includes phases of planning and preparation of flight, navigation, taking images and telemetry recording. For this purpose remote camera placed under planes hull and tablet with application placed in the cockpit are used.
Methodology of coordinate system setup for optical measuring device Pontos
Volek, Aleš ; Drápela, Miloslav (referee) ; Koutný, Daniel (advisor)
The graduation thesis deals with invention of detailed definition of the coordinate system for Pontos system. The solution is based on suitable localization method of the point on a car body, whose coordinates are known from CAD data. First part of the thesis describes the design of adapter which determines the reference point. Software solution is presented in second part. Contribution of the work and accuracy of the method are discussed in the end.
Optimizing the calibration of the cameras of photogrammetric system designed for the measurement of rotationally symmetric forgings
Hurník, Jakub ; Navrátil, Robert (referee) ; Zatočilová, Aneta (advisor)
At present, there are only a few systems in the world, that allow measurement of the dimensional accuracy of hot forgings directly in the manufacturing process. This work deals with the development of the calibration method of the cameras for the developed photogrammetric system, intended for the mentioned purposes. The conditions of measurement are very specific - high temperature and large dimensions of measured semi-finished products, environment of heavy industry. Employed methods are chosen with the emphasis on reliability of the system, taking into account the demanding conditions in the industrial premises. Calibration is designed for a large field of view, utilizing coded reference points in a scene with known spatial coordinates. The result of the work is the calibration software created in the MATLAB environment.
